Sub-zero festival season
Winter is the coolest season in Copenhagen – in more ways than one. February and March are festival months, offering a wide range of events within entertainment and the arts, including the winter editions of the Copenhagen Jazz Festival, the Copenhagen Fashion Festival and the Frost Festival with curated music events held at off-beat venues citywide.
Tivoli Gardens opens in April, and with the advent of spring we also see the Sakura celebration of the blossoming cherry trees by the Little Mermaid. And don’t forget to pop by the King’s Garden to see the flowering crocus carpet, usually in mid-March. Opening in May, a new thought-inspiring parkland art playground opens at Ordrupgaard Museum just north of Copenhagen. more
