Winter in Copenhagen

Gear up for a city of cool and culture – and rooftop skiing!

Winter is the coolest time of year in Copenhagen in more senses than one. Marvel at the illuminations of the city’s Light Festival and visit the magical winter wonderland of Tivoli Gardens. This winter, you can also experience Copenhagen’s new sports spectacle – and go rooftop skiing!

Copenhagen is the capital of winter hygge and candle-lit cosiness. Copenhill is an artificial all-year ski slope that sits atop the city’s new waste-to-energy plant, which also features the world’s tallest artificial climbing range. For two trial weeks in February, a maximum of 3,000 skiers will be allowed on the range at the time. more
