Copenhagen welcomes the spring with open-air markets, flower gardens and parkland fun. Visitors to the Danish capital this year will enjoy even faster and easier access to many of the city’s liveable neighbourhoods via new metro lines. But don’t forget to explore the city the Danish way – on a bike!

Copenhageners love sun-kissed days. With fair weather, parks and open-air food markets spring to life. Tivoli Gardens opens on 2 April 2020 for the summer season with rides, restaurants, flower gardens and family entertainment. And on 3 April, the world’s oldest pleasure park, Bakken, opens for the season – a great chance to go for a ride in a horse-drawn carriage in the UNESCO heritage oak woods.
